An experience at the Palais Royal

In October 2025, the Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain ushers in a new era by opening its immersive space at the Palais-Royal. Anchored in a site steeped in history, this cultural destination offers an augmented reality experience accessible straight from the browser (WebAR), seamlessly blending heritage, architecture and digital creation. Designed by Jean Nouvel, the building itself becomes a narrative medium, inviting visitors into an interactive journey where space, time and artistic expression converge to reinvent the way art is discovered. Atomic handled the creative direction and production of this WebAR experience, from shaping the visitor journey to deploying it on site, keeping the technology fully in service of the artwork and the place. Results: a little over 3k sessions since the venue opened, with an average of 36 seconds of engagement across the experiences on offer.
